Item Description
Obviously inspired by The Michelin Man, this lighter stands 6.25" tall and features figural rubber advertising figure of "Microtex Tread Mike" w/metal lighter portion at the center of his large rubber tire body. Binney & Smith Co. 1930s. Lighter works but original cord has some fabric fraying. Base has some small chips and rubber portion of lighter has all over crazing as is expected of a rubber item of this age, but remains structurally sound. Fine overall.
