Auction #211 - Part II
Item numbers 1197 through 2870 in auction 211
Item Description
9.5" tall tin litho robot w/built-in key made in Japan by Tonezawa comes in reproduction box that has been distressed to appear aged. Robot itself is 1950s. Has Vari-Vue flicker/flasher discs for eyes, which give the robot the appearance of winking as he walks, hence the name. Original hard rubber "ears" present. Toy works and walks as needle in chest plate gauge moves back and forth. No longer sparks. Some aging to plated parts w/some scattered small paint nicks. Fine overall. Classic robot.
