Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 10.5" tall robot made in Japan by Yone/Mego, c. 1960s. Box shows some scattered wear w/corner creases and some loose perforations to die-cut display portion of lid, though cello window remains firmly intact. Box is scarce w/this unpunched. Fine. Robot is mostly hard plastic and has a pair of foil sticker attachments including atomic symbol on chest and larger sticker on base w/"Krome Dome" name and simulated dials. Mid-section is accordion-like soft plastic piece as are arms. Toy works and travels around w/bump-and-go action. Every once in awhile it stops as the upper body raises into the air, eyes light and mouth opens. It then lowers back into place and continues on. The silvered tin head has all bright luster intact. Stickers shows little to no wear and are bright w/full color. There are a few small nicks on metal chest band (at bottom of yellow portion) and contacts inside battery box lid have been professionally replaced. Robot is bright and clean and o/w VF/Exc.
