Item Description
6.25x9-1/8" die-cut textured paper menu in the shape of a boxing glove for Boxing Hall of Fame member Fred Apostoli's restaurant. Apostoli was recognized as the world champion when he defeated Marcel Thil in Sept., 1937 and was later elected to The Ring's Boxing Hall of Fame. Front of menu has been signed in blue ink "Regards Johnny Weismuller & Fred Apostoli," a lucky coincidence as Tarzan actor and noted Olympic swimmer Weismuller was dining at the restaurant on a day Apostoli was present. Menu has some handling wear and 1.25x3" area of faint moisture staining (not affecting signatures) on front right of menu. Interior has a few inked corrections to prices/selections as issued. Fine/VF overall w/Exc. signatures. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
