Item Description
9" tall by 11.5" dia. pressed flannel hat, known as a "Hillbilly Crash Helmet." Early 1960s. Done during Mouse's days as a major figure in the Hot Rod scene along w/Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, Mouse would airbrush hats and shirts which were sold via mail order. This hat depicts big-eyed, drooling freak w/his tongue dangling out of his mouth and arm reaching all around hat. Mouse has signed in black felt tip pen along left side. Hat has large dark stain, but this is mostly confined to back of hat and 2" area below Mouse's signature. This area also has 1.5" tear but w/neat glue repair. Art on front of hat still displays bold. VG. Mouse would go on to become one of the biggest and best artists in the concert poster/LP cover worlds. Unique. From the Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
