Item Description
19x23.5" sheet of vellum has original pencil art and lettering for performance of the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" w/lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber that was presented by Bill Graham at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA. Oct. 2-3, 1971. Original art for performance flyer features mirror images of two angels praying while facing one another (this image would be used on the American release "Jesus Christ Superstar" album in 1971). Extensive lettering below image concerning tickets (w/some misspellings). Design also includes marked off area below text for order blank that appeared on flyers. Top margin has pinholes at corners and bottom edge has large 2.5x4" corner piece missing, not affecting text or art. Sheet is evenly aged and has some handling wear, but could be matted and framed for a VF display. From the Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
