10x13.5" cardboard standee w/unused easel back features bw photo image of Shea. Text includes "Baseball's Rookie Pitcher Of The Year." Shea's 1947 rookie season included two World Series victories over the Brooklyn Dodgers, first rookie to win an All-Star game, posted 14-5 record and 3.07 ERA. Lost Rookie of the Year honor to Jackie Robinson. Born in Connecticut and is seen here endorsing a local Connecticut beer - "Hull's Famous Beer - 'The Old Favorite Of Sporting Fans'." Standee shows some lt. wear and faint scattered dust soiling but remains bright and glossy and is VF overall.
