Item Description
3x3-5/16" with bar pin on reverse. Unlike the examples of this rare badge with serial numbers (see Harvey Goldberg's The Campaign Items Of John F. Kennedy page 23) this badge, because of the close association between JFK and his aide Jerry Bruno, is without a serial number and has only the typed name "Jerry Bruno" on the center left white panel. There is a panel around his name just a bit darker white tone than the surrounding white areas. When the badge is held to light and a magnifying glass is used the name "Henry M. Jackson" (Chairperson of the DNC)that appears on the serial numbered version of this badge can be faintly seen. Because of the unique nature of this badge, no serial number is present. Mr. Bruno used this badge both during the 1960 election and afterwards as an aide to President Kennedy. Trivial all over surface wear from normal use shows only in reflected light. No damage. Exc. Jerry Bruno Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
