3-5/8x6.5" first day cover for the "Harriet Tubman/Black Heritage U.S.A. 13¢" stamp issued February 1, 1987. Signed by "The First Lady Of Civil Rights" Rosa Parks (1913-2005) in black felt tip pen adding "2/11/91" date. Park's refusal to give up her bus seat to a white passenger and the Montgomery bus boycott became important symbols of the modern civil rights movement. Text below Harriet Tubman reads "The Moses Of Her People, She Conducted The Railroad To Freedom For Hundreds Of Slaves." Envelope and signature area NM. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
