Item Description
Science Fiction was one of the most important genres for the comic market during the late fifties and early sixties. Charlton had solid success with this title. One of the reasons was the solid writing. The pother was the artists they were attracting for the book. This issue features art from Steve Ditko. He was just a few years away from the debut of Spider-Man. As evidenced by the presence of the large balloon in the right corner, Charlton didn’t hedge their bets on the quality of the book. They also ran big contests. The pages are off-white to white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 9.6 (NM+). According to the CGC Census this is the highest graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as belonging to the White Mountain Pedigree.
