Item Description
15/16" with rim pierced for suspension as made. Nice silver luster highlights on the Lincoln side with even more on the Hamlin side. Candidate's names appears above the ferrotype image. Extreme left edge of the Lincoln emulsion has about 1/16" line of slight roughness but still totally intact emulsion and for practical purposes invisible without magnification. The Hamlin portrait displays equally bright and clean although its entire surface does have crazing although again near invisible without magnification. The piece displays beautifully. Includes Ford's notated paper envelope and labeled plastic holder from Stacks Bowers auction Sept. 19-20, 2013. Rare and this doughnut style frame is extremely popular with collectors.

Item was photographed as sealed in Stack's plastic holder. White marks and dots are in or on the plastic, not on the item.
