Item Description
The cover may be one of the most perfectly realized covers in the history of comics. As the Silver Age DC experienced success with modern reinterpretations of their classic Golden Age characters such as the Flash and Green Lantern, the idea came up that they should see what they can do with the idea of the Justice Society of America. After a few editorial modifications from Julie Schwartz, the decision was made to give the new Justice League of America a try-out in the DC’s anthology title, the Brave and The Bold. In addition to the League’s first appearance, this issue also contains the origin and first appearance of Snapper Carr. The pages are off-white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 8.0 (VF). According to the CGC Census this copy is tied with nine others as the third-highest graded copy they have seen.
