Item Description
6" tall ribbon of the same design as the ribbon for Bland #473. Reverse has same maker's back stamp but again the city name can not be discerned. Reverse has long vertical stickpin. Front has bow at top with silver lettering "Patriotism/Free Silver/Prosperity/C. Matthews/Indiana." He received 37 votes on the first ballot. While the applied real photo is extremely clean it is missing its lower right corner. There is a single pinhole along the top edge of the photo caused by the reverse stickpin also a tiny 1/16" hole upper left beneath the rwb ribbon accent. Still extremely clean overall. Rare.
