Auction #211 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
Entire 72 piece collection, 71 of the items as buttons, from the collection of Ex-APIC member Marshall Levin. One group is on a burlap covered board while the other two are on cardboards. The one non-button is a "Shriver For President 1976" unused sticker. The buttons range from 7/8" to 3.5". One or two may appear identical but Marshall was very fastidious and in these cases there is some minor variation. On the burlap board many of the items relate to George Wallace with others for Roden, Askew, Goldwater, Carey, Clegg, Peggy Hoening, Dan Walker, Tom Eagleton, Nader. On one cardboard many of the items are for Shriver with one for Moynihan and several more with generic Democratic messages plus an NBC News employee badge for the "1976 Primaries." Last cardboard has wide variety of names including: Miller, Boogie Party, Patton, Bubar, Rev. D. Jackson (two different), Clegg, several for Ellen McCormack and even one for Chief Burningwood. Vast majority are NM to Mint. One board has blank area with pinhole in the cardboard and we do not know what was there but nothing has been removed by us from this Levin Collection which comes with Hake's COA.
