Item Description
First item is comprised of a beautifully colored 7/8" button with W&H paper. Pictured is a white rose with text "Prohibition/In Hoc Vinces." Spring pin holds 2.5" ribbon naming the convention, town, and date "May 27th. 1896." Ribbon has several vertical stresses both at the top and bottom but remains quite intact with just a little light age. The pin-back is Essentially Mint. Second item is 3.5" tall with 1" brass medallion. Ribbon text is near identical to the first item and the medallion shows state seal on the front while the reverse reads "For God/For Home And Native Land/The Saloon Must Go." Mint luster on the medallion and NM luster on the "souvenir" bar. Both of these are rare limited issue pieces. Also see rare autographed card from 1872 presidential candidate and early temperance advocate Geo. Francis Train #182 as well as Delegate ribbon from the 1896 convention #146.
