Original 11x14" title card from the 1957 release of the MGM sci-fi film starring Richard Eyer, Philip Abbott and Diane Brewster. Perhaps overshadowing his human co-stars was the second film appearance of Robby the Robot, the sci-fi character who stole the show in "Forbidden Planet" the year before. Indeed, Robby's name is largest at the bottom of this title card. This film's earlier title was "S.O.S Spaceship." According to a subtle backstory, the robot in "The Invisible Boy" is the same character as in "Forbidden Planet," which is set in the 23rd century. Robby is brought back to the era of "The Invisible Boy" through time travel. Title card shows Robby rampaging w/young boy grasped in his hand as army prepares to fight him w/futuristic weaponry and tanks. Pinholes at corners have brown paper tape backing strips on back along top and bottom margins. Card is lightly aged but still displays Exc.
