Item Description
16x20" artboard has original acrylic art depicting the main box lid art for Pyro Plastics model kit No. 167. 1970. Art is signed by A.J. Rudisill, an internationally-acclaimed artist whose original acrylic paintings of landscapes and seascapes have been exhibited at major galleries throughout the country. Earlier in his career Rudisill provided stunning model kit box art, such as this being offered here. Although it is not clearly marked, art depicts a Harley-Davidson motorcycle being ridden by a skeleton cowboy, who smokes a cigar and shoots his pistol into the air as he's being pursued by two Native Americans on motorcycles (likely an allusion to Indian motorcycles) in bkg. Cowboy's motorcycle is mounted w/saddle and has a saddlebag marked "Pony Express." A canteen hangs off gas cap and arrows fly overhead. Bottom and top center margins have printing centering labels. Nicely detailed art is NM and would look stunning framed.
