Item Description
6.5x9.25" first edition hardcover w/534 pages and original dust jacket. Published by Viking Penguin in 1992, book was written by Ken Kesey, an author best known for his novel "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and as a counter-cultural figure who considered himself a link between the Beat Generation of the 1950s and the hippies of the 1960s. Front endpapers have been inscribed by the author, Kesey using silver paint pen and multi-color psychedelic paints to create inscription "For Paul - Be Ready, Comrade" and his signature as book was presented to fellow author Paul "Kraz" Krassner (see following item #1645). Exc. Comes w/handwritten address for Krassner, written and signed by Paul Krassner himself on unlined 8.5x11" sheet. Comes with Hake's COA.
