Item Description
Brass rim with brass backing which holds a horizontal bar pin. 2-5/16" diameter issued by as stated on the front paper beneath the celluloid cover "H.K. Ferguson Co" who was one of the prime contractors in the development of enriched uranium for the WWII Manhattan Project. (also see items #831-833). Text on the item includes "Oak Ridge, Tenn./Reactor Project/F21-5038." An artifact from the very early beginnings of the Atomic Bomb. Trivial surface wear on the celluloid covering shows only in reflected light. Exc. One known to us. See next related item.
