Item Description
17.25x26" artboard has original mixed media art depicting the main box lid art for late 1950s Pyro Plastics model kit No. L207-298 featuring "Despatch No. 9" sea-going diesel tugboat. Art shows the ship in a harbor, sailors working on deck. Seagulls fly about the ship and several ships can be seen in the bkg., including passenger ships, tanker ships, a battle ship and an aircraft carrier by suspension bridge spanning harbor mouth. Art is unsigned. Large image area measures 15.5x25.75". Top and bottom margins have lt. tape staining that could be easily matted out. Some small scattered flakes of orange paint at left side, o/w art is NM and would look stunning framed. Impressive model kit art.
