Item Description
Framed original art from the collection of arcade historian Bill Kurtz, author of such books as "The Encyclopedia Of Arcade Video Games" and "Arcade Treasures." 26x30.5" frame contains original mixed media backglass artwork for "Heavy Metal Meltdown" pinball machine produced by Bally in 1987. 1,600 units were produced. Art is nicely finished and features central image of heavy metal rocker clearly modeled after Eddie Van Halen (He even holds a replica of Eddie's trademark guitar!) w/two smaller guitarists in bkg., surrounded by electricity. Large amp stack appears in bkg. "Heavy Metal" name at top w/"Meltdown" name at bottom. Art has been double-matted and displays NM. Art was created by Tony Ramunni and has been signed by the artist. Comes w/promotional flyer picturing the pinball machine. Original pinball art rarely comes up for sale and is highly coveted. Framed art stands alone as a great piece of art in its own right and would be the perfect piece for your game room.
