8x10" original glossy photo featuring incredible full figure image of Gibson posed on a ball field wearing catcher's mitt and holding a baseball. He wears a Homestead Grays uniform. He had multiple stints with the Grays between the years 1930 and 1946 and we believe this image dates to c. 1942-43. Reverse has ink stamp for weekly Cuban publication "Bohemia." Lower right has embossed imprint of noted Cuban photographer which reads "Jose Luis Lopez Photographer Habana." Minor handling wear but remains totally clean, bright and glossy. Exc.
