Auction #185 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 945 in auction 185
Item Description
1.25" (33mm) with original shank. Features a displayed eagle, without inscription, much like those listed in Albert's book as WI-12, but with larger head and wings. The eagle holds a branch with leaves in one talon and 3 arrows in the opposite talon. A shield design is on the chest. Eagle's head is surrounded by 13 indents representing a star for each colony and the stars are surrounded by engraved accent lines forming a glory. The extreme outer rim edge has accent line of tiny notches. Unlisted, and likely in brass, in N. Mint condition with glossy surfaces and gorgeous patina of rainbow colors. A magnificent example. Rare.
