The album features a few recordings made on the first edition of the tour during the spring and summer of 1996, among them a version of the Dead's "Cassidy" by former Dead guitarist Bob Weir's band Ratdog, and two tracks drawn from the show-closing jams that featured many of show's participants. Colorful poster art by Michael Everett includes butterflies, turtles, frog and snake. Poster has 12 signatures in total in black and silver felt tip pen including: Mickey Hart, Chris & Rich Robinson, Steve Gorman, Bruce Hornsby, Chuck Garvey, Rob Derhak, Brian McRae and four others.
