Item Description
10x28-5/8” archival mat has 6x25” opening. Thin art board has four panels in India ink c. early 1940s. The Lone Ranger has captured crooks, says goodbye to a pretty girl and her father and rides away on Silver to help Tonto. Art is signed in ink by long time Lone Ranger artist “Charles Flanders”, and has ink inscription in panel two “Greetings To Jack Murphy From The Lone Ranger, Silver, And Tonto.” Art board has lt. rippling, a few scattered moisture marks, and tanning around edges from previous improper framing. Overall VG. Ready to frame. Well drawn early example, possibly a contest prize.
