Item Description
7.75x10.25” thin art board has 6x7-5/8” India ink and colored pencil image area. Delightful scene has Paw w/cigar dropping his cane as he looks at cat Kitty who is staring at mouse in flowers. Art is signed in ink at lower right “To Hutch-With Best Wishes-Cliff Sterrett-43-." Board has light handling creases, blank margins are lightly aged. Image and autograph area will frame to Fine appearance. Art was specially done for fellow cartoonist Sam Lloyd Hutchinson, noted for creating Parky the Kangaroo. Any specialty original art by Sterrett is scarce, this is an exceptional example.
