Item Description
Lot of 44 envelopes, each typically 3.5x6.5". All are World War II era. Included are 20 w/anti-Axis theme (eight postally canceled) and 24 featuring homefront/patriotic images/themes. Of the anti-Axis, some of note include "US" donkey kicking Hitler w/"'Heel' Hitler!!" slogan, "Saving Face" showing US soldier poking cartoon Tojo w/bayonet, cartoon of the Devil handing over pitchfork to Hitler as he salutes and says "Heil Hitler, You Can Take Over Any Time!" and others including Uncle Sam hand grabbing bloody "Axis" hand that drops bloody "Aggression" knife, cartoon of Stalin punching out Hitler, skull w/"This Is A Safe Jap" text and others. Homefront envelopes designs include soldiers, sailors, four featuring Uncle Sam and several featuring "We'll Keep 'Em" slogans. Most are evenly aged and Exc. Those used are lightly aged and VF-Exc.
