Item Description
7/8" in browntones with Whitehead & Hoag back paper. This is the one jugate button missing from most collections. There are six known designs by several button makers. The hobby consensus is that all of these were manufacturers' samples with W&H producing this design on speculation in the sizes of 5/8", 7/8", and 1.25". This example is in Exc. condition and it displays glossy and Mint. There is widely scattered typical surface wear that shows only in reflected light. While the shallow hairline surface marks are numerous under magnification, we emphasize the button displays glossy, Mint viewed normally. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
