Item Description
Most are 2.5" with the two in the top row 2.25". This party was founded in 1966 as the Worker's League with an ideology based on Socialism and Trotskyism. First button in this group is apparently pre-1992 as it names their 1992 Presidential candidate Helen Halyard but the office name reads "Halyard for Mayor." The others are definitely from 1992 and include a Presidential jugate with Mazelis the Vice-Presidential nominee. A second picture button pictures Halyard for President with four additional picture buttons for candidates McLaughlin, 16th District, Roberts, 13th District, Scherrer, 14th District, White, 9th District. Buttons are essentially Mint as issued and scarce. In the 1992 election the ticket pulled only 3,050 votes. From the Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
