Item Description
Smallest are 7/8" and largest are 1.5". Top shows flag and reads simply "Lithuanian Day." This has back paper by Hizer, Phila. and is probably 1930s. Second reads "Free Lithuania From Soviet Slavery." This button seems to be c.1950s. Third button with Boston Badge back paper has small rim text reading "Lithuania-Once The Habitation Of Peaceful And Progressive People, Is Today A Desert." We think this is pre-WWII relating to Soviet domination. Gold color was once brighter on the rim but otherwise Mint. Next shows American and Lithuanian flags with 1930 date and location of Phila. Pa. Next 1.25" reads "Restore Lithuania Independence." Again a c.1950s button. Last are three buttons referencing "Student Power" "Lithuania Power" and "Lithuanian Pilgrimage 1984." The three of these are from the 1980s. All items are from the Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
