Item Description
7/8" shows flying eagle gripping a snake with its beak and talons. Top initials are "N.S.A.N.L." This stands for Non-Sectarian Anti Nazi League. This group operated between 1933-1939, sometimes with the help of the American Jewish Congress. The concept was to boycott German related breweries and department stores that carried German goods. The boycott movement was active in major cities such as New York, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. This button has back paper from NYC maker Harris Co. NM and displays Mint. Rare.
