Item Description
1.5" showing the numeral 8 surrounding a pair of hands in cuffs. In 1971 Father Philip Berrigan and others were indicted on Federal charges of conspiring to kidnap Henry Kissinger and planning to blow up heating systems in Federal buildings in Washington. The group became known as the Harrisburg 8 and this button was issued c.1971-1972 probably by the group formed to support them known as the Harrisburg Defense Committee. NM and displays Mint.
