Item Description
All are on thin art boards w/India ink image areas ranging in size from 4.75x16.25” to 4.75x21.25”. Each has three or four panels. May 10, 1938 Mickey Finn by Lank Leonard has Mickey talking to mother about Uncle Phil going to a society debut to act as a guard. Oct. 10, 1938 Tillie by Russ Westover has Tillie in all four panels talking to Mac about her new hairdo. 1960 Danny Hale by Norman Marsh has Emily worried about Mr. Blazo leaving on wagon train. Sol Hess and Wally Carlson c. 1930s“The Nebbs” has Rudy Nebbs' brother Steve giving away money. All are signed by creators, including Lank Leonard, Russ Westover, Norman Marsh, and Sol Hess/W.A. Carlson. All have scattered light wear and aging, Tillie has glue stains from missing zip-a-tone shading. Image areas Good/VG+ overall. All are well drawn examples personally autographed to fellow cartoonist Sam Lloyd Hutchinson, noted for creating Parky the Kangaroo.
