Item Description
Each is 1-3/8" litho with name of maker on reverse Greenduck. The last button in the group has its brass back covered in tiny brown dots but the other three remain Exc. Each buttons include text "The Peach Baseball Scores." Pictured in order are Alexander, 'Red' Faber, Robertson, Ray Schalk. When the Hake/Steckler Non-Paper Sports Collectibles book was published in 1986 we knew of 7 in this series and the Faber button in this group brings the new total to 8. The Alexander button in our photo will show some gray age but this turned out to be almost entirely surface dirt and the button now displays essentially Mint with just a barely seen 1/16" scratch on his cheek. The Faber button has tiny paint loss on right edge. The Robertson is Exc. The Schalk has 1/8" scratch at the top of the peach design and a number of tiny blue specks off the rim that show white. This is still at least Fine. These are very scarce buttons and it has been literally decades since we've had an example to offer.
