Large 2x10" illustrated paper wrapper contains single, enormous piece of bubble gum by the Jane Shaw Candy Company (a short-lived company) of New York. ©1948 King Features Syndicate, Inc. This company also produced a Flash Gordon bubble gum product. Wrapper features great red portrait illustrations of Popeye and Olive Oyl, Popeye blowing bubble out of his pipe and Olive Oyl w/bubble in mouth. Each has "The World's Largest" text, referencing the immense size of this single stick of bubble gum. Images/text on both sides, copyright/company text on just one side. Wrapper remains sealed w/some lt. handling wear and even aging. VF. Gum stick has hardened w/age and has a few breaks noticeable to the touch but remains largely intact. Rare and the first we've offered in our 47 years.
