Item Description
Pair of wind-up alarm clocks by The Lux Clock Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, CT. First measures 4.5" tall w/rose finish painted metal case w/brass trim. c. 1920s. Paper face shows full body image of organ grinder and monkey, organ grinder's arm is separate, jointed piece and moves as seconds progress, giving the effect of him cranking his organ. Smaller seconds dial at top center. Case has scattered lt. wear w/some aging to brass trim. Clock is running and alarm works. VF. Clock face is bright and clean. Exc. Second measures 4-5/8x4.75", metal case has brown finish w/brass trim. c. 1939. Face has rotating spinning wheel w/moving treadle on paper face. Face has interesting feature of alarm dial incorporated into clock image above fireplace. Alarm works, but alarm setting knob is missing. Case has lt. wear. Fine. Face is Exc. Clock runs. Neat design.
