Lot of four items related to the art Mark Arminski created for the 1996 Alive Records release "Dodge Main" which consisted of MC5's Wayne Kramer, Deniz Tek and Scott Morgan. Arminski designed the LP cover (one of only a handful he has designed) over the course of a weekend as the project was quickly given to him w/a tight deadline. The album was dedicated to MC5's Rob Tyner and fellow Detroit, MI. musicians Fred Sonic Smith and Dave Alexander. Front cover features image of welder (a friend of Arminski's) posing w/tools w/great lighting effects. Lot includes LP (in original cellophane, but neatly sliced open at right) w/liner sleeve and red vinyl record. Corner tip wear w/some creasing. Fine/VF. Record is NM. Lot also includes 9.75x15-7/8" photo proof sheet showing a total of 12 different photos, the chosen photo used being marked w/a black "X." Edges are uneven as cut and sheet has slight ripple and handling wear. Fine. 13-1/8x15" artboard w/acetate sheet overlay has Arminski's original silk-screened bkg. showing smoking factories w/cut-out photocopy image of his welder friend w/painted accents. Art has handwritten 1996 copyright and has been signed in black felt tip pen by Arminski as well as Kramer, who has signed "Hey Mark - In The Spirit Of The Working Man" and dated "2-20-97"; Tek, who signed "To Mark - Thank You For This Great Image"; and Morgan, who signed "Mark - Love The Day Glow." Art has some aging to margin borders, but remains Exc. Comes w/folded 18x24" Alive Records promo poster for the album that has been signed by Arminski at center. Exc.
