Item Description
4.25x5-1/8" booklet featuring illustrations by Theodore Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. Almost every page features bw (some w/red accents) illustrations, many featuring a mosquito character named Ann (reference to Anopheles Mosquito). 1944 printing by the US Government Printing Office for distribution to soldiers going overseas during World War II. Issued to educate young soldiers on the hazards of the disease and to prevent its outbreak. A poster was also released featuring Ann and Dr. Seuss's art. Booklet features 22 different illustrations, including one on cover. Scattered handling wear and aging, cover has faint vertical crease and edge wear. Fine.
