Lot of 19 unpainted solid plaster statues from an extensive series of 73 different statues for 19 different comic strips produced c. 1951. Statues were designed to be painted by owner. Most if not all have "Professional Art Products - Chicago 5, Ill. - Distributors Of Copyrighted Figurines - B" stamp on undersides. These stamps differ in darkness and clarity, w/some only showing a trace of the stamp. Included are 17 different characters plus two duplicates. Each has incised name on base. They are - Brenda Starr, Sweeney from "Buz Sawyer," "Dick Tracy" characters Pat Patton (w/chip to hat brim) and Junior Tracy (small stain on top of head), Don Winslow (w/slight chip to hat brim and minor staining), Scarlet O'Neil from "Invisible Scarlet O'Neil" (w/minor base flaking and tiny chip to tip of nose), "Little Joe" characters Utah (cracked at legs w/.5x2" piece off front of leg, revealing wire support) and Little Joe (w/small chip to hat brim), two statues each of "Little Orphan Annie" characters Daddy Warbucks (one w/very minor base chip) and Little Orphan Annie (minor chipping to bottom of base on one, slight base chipping and staining to back of other), "Smilin' Jack" character Downwind, "Smitty" character Mr. Bailey, "The Gumps" characters Chester Gump (w/slight base flaking), Uncle Bim (w/staining to hat and leg) and Millie, Tiny Tim (w/some staining on head, neck and leg) and "Winnie Winkle" characters The Winkle Twins (w/slight base flaking). Statues range from Good (Utah) to VF while most are Fine overall.
