Item Description
Pair of artboards w/original original mixed media art depicting the main box lid art for 1950s Pyro Plastics model kit No. 252, both featuring the same fishing trawler w/"Marilyn M." name on side. First artboard measures 16x27.5" and features fully painted scene showing boat at sea, crew visible on deck and several other ships visible in bkg. along w/shoreline. Art is signed by Howard W. Arnold. Large image area takes up nearly entire artboard. Upper left has 7.75x8" area of scattered glue residue, likely from applied text/label. Aside from this, art displays VF. Second artboard measures 20x27.75" and features only profile image of the boat. Art is unsigned. Image area measures 10x23.5". Margins shows wear, most noticeable at upper left corner, which has creasing and upper margin has streak of tape staining. Fine overall w/majority of art still displaying nicely. Issues could be easily matted out for an Exc. display. Nice pair.
