Item Description
Painted cast metal Mickey Mouse figure stands 3" tall and figure has attached metal holder (marked "Germany" on back) for series of Bridge Trump markers (five in total), giving display total width of 5". c. 1932. "Mickey Mouse" name appears on right side of his body, copyright is on left in raised lettering. From an exceptional series of Mickey and Minnie Mouse metal figures, which were combined w/other metal parts to produce useful objects such as ashtrays, see #1955. Mickey wears yellow pants w/red buttons and features hand position variety. All-over moderate aging as well as paint wear in the form of small chips/flakes, mainly on hands, nose, ear/ear edges and shoes. About 85% original paint remains. Complete w/original wire tail. VG. Fragile paper Trump markers show moderate aging. All tabs but those for Clubs and Diamonds are missing and half of the "No Trumps" card pair is missing. Good. A great, high quality figure. All pieces in this series are scarce. First we've seen of this yellow pants variety. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
