7.25x21-5/8" thin artboard has original India ink art in four panels for July 28, 1954 daily strip that features devastating flood affecting Dick Tracy's friends B.O. Plenty and his wife Gravel Gertie, both of whom are seen in this strip along w/their daughter Sparkle Plenty, who appears in first and second panels, rescuing Wingy Plenty from drowning. Third panel shows the Plenty household, Sunny Dale Acres submerged and last panel features B.O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie in bed, surprised as water breaks window and rushes in. Signed by "Dick Tracy" creator and comic artist Chester Gould in last panel. Chicago Tribune copyright strip in first panel. Blank margins have inked date and "Dick Tracy" title in pencil. Last panel has some surface scuffing to 1.25x1.5" area on B.O. Plenty's hand, but this blends somewhat. Image area is VF.
