Item Description
Solid figural bottle stopper was made in Germany by B&Z as noted by tiny incised text at bottom edge of metal portion of stopper. Early 1930s. Figure depicts great early five-fingered Mickey Mouse playing box banjo w/single soldered wire string. Figure stands on hollow metal base that is attached to original cork stopper, which has silver end cap in place for total height of 5-1/8" tall. Along w/maker name, base has "800" mark, indicating that figure is 80% silver. Has original patina but could be polished to bright silver luster if so desired. Comes w/walnut wood display stand that has been drilled to hold stopper. First we've offered in our 47 years and only example we know of. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
