16 pages. 11.5x16". Published just 12 days after Lincoln signed the historic document. The proclamation appears on page 3 with title "Domestic Intelligence/The Abolition Of Slavery." Page 2 has lengthy editorial titled "Slavery Practically Abolished." Issue cover with George McClellan. Contains 18 wood block prints including: general view of Harper's Ferry, Maj. General Hooker, Maj. General Franklin, late General Mansfield, late General Reno, and others. Centerfold depicts "The Battle Of Antietam Fought September 17, 1862." Three back cover margin edge tears about 1-1.5" each. Otherwise Exc. Comes in, but not bound to, 13x17.5" archival folder with buckram hard bound cover with gold titles. Only other example our research found was listed as Near Fine condition priced at $1,250.00. Rare.
