Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid flap contains 11" long painted pressed steel free-wheeling Jeep w/folding die-cut painted pressed steel windshield marked "Willys" and hard plastic mobile radar station/seats. 1950s. "Willys" name appears again on front bumper. Jeep also has plastic steering wheel on metal bar which moves to accommodate vinyl soldier driver figure who comes w/separate hard plastic gun and radar dish attachment. Missing second soldier figure. Jeep's hood has "U.S. Armed Forces Mobile Radar" decal w/wavelength design at center. Tin litho wheel hubs w/vinyl wheels marked "Lumar." Hard plastic radar station/seats insert features detailed control panel w/cast dials, gauges, telephone, etc. Gun and radar dish fit into holes at top. This insert has some scattered aging, as does hood decal. VF/Exc. Box shows some lt. scattered wear but is complete and tight w/two spots of staining on one side, o/w VF. Rarely found w/gun and radar dish.
