From same series as previous item #2567. 8.75x14.75" illustrated cardboard open display box contains 32" long Dura-Hide belt w/8.5" deep single holster/gun set by Mattel/Fanner. 10.25" long "Fanner 50" cap gun w/weathered bronze finish and brown plastic impala grips (specific to this set). 1970s though marked 1967. Set was originally a "Cowboy In Africa" set that was quickly re-purposed to cash-in on the popularity of "Planet Of The Apes." An Apes sticker was placed over the raised "Cowboy In Africa" text on the holster, which are typically missing. A loose sticker is included here, though aged. Imprints from the "Cowboy In Africa" holster text can still be seen on the gummed reverse. Belt/holster are Exc. Sticker is Fine/VF. Gun has some luster wear where gun rests against holster over the decades and some aging/wear inside from use but as is, displays Fine/VF overall. Box has some aging and lt. scattered wear. VF. Last auction we sold another boxed example of this gun for $1,106 and that was the only other example we've ever been able to offer. Extremely rare in original box.
