Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 19.5" long tin litho moving truck w/rubber tires marked "Wyandotte" as Marx bought out Wyandotte parts in the mid-1950s upon their closure. Marx, c. 1958. Box comes w/original cardboard inserts and shows moderate aging/wear to one side which is Fine overall, but rest of box remains VF for display. Truck features great lithography that notes "Railway Express Agency" and "Air Express" signs on side along w/"Nationwide - Worldwide" globe logo and detailed truck features. Truck also includes working Hi-Lift tailgate, all original papers and included assortment of packages that includes two painted wooden crates, wooden barrel, several printed cardboard flats designed to be folded into boxed packages, a fabric "Railway Express Agency" drawstring sack, "Air Express" paper labels to be cut out and applied to packages and plastic dolly. These show some lt. aging and are VF/Exc. overall. Truck has some tiny nicks from time of factory assembly and is o/w NM, old store stock. Elaborate set.
