Item Description
Thin art board has 6.5x8.25” India ink and watercolor image area showing Flash running. Hand lettered text reads “The Flash As I Drew Him In The Splash Panel Of The First Flash Story In Flash Comics #1. January, 1940 Harry Lampert. 1995”. Exc. Lampert (1916-2004) began his career w/the Fleischer animation studio in the 1930s, moving on to DC comics where he did five “Flash” stories as well as “The Atom” and others. He eventually became a contract bridge instructor. Obtained directly from the legendary artist. From the Charlie Roberts Collection.
