Original illustrated cardboard box contains 20.5" long painted pressed steel truck "No. 461. Buddy 'L' Company", 1930s. Box is complete w/original cardboard inserts and shows scattered wear w/moderate ceasing to unopened end. Fine overall. Truck has solid rubber wheels, embossed "Buddy 'L'" text on doors and large "Buddy L Motor Market" decals along top center sides, above two "shelves" on each side used to display the included original 26 cardboard boxes/canisters of actual grocery products that include - Ralston Wheat Cereal, Wrigley's Spearmint Gum, Domino Sugar, Smith Brothers Cough Drops, Barnum's Animals cookies, H-O Quick Oats, Climalene cleaning powder, Bon Ami Powder, Shredded Wheat, Lifebuoy Health Soap, Junket Dessert Powder and Cross Tacks. These were actual sample boxes and salt canisters are full as is one box of Climalene cleaning powder and one box of Bon Ami Powder, which actually contains two small cork toppered glass bottles of oil. Boxes are aged but Exc. overall. Truck has some lt. wear to top decal but decal is mostly complete and truck is Exc. overall. Old store stock. Rare as boxed and complete.
