Item Description
Lot of six items and two typed letters from Corinne Lowe, a swimmer who performed alongside Olympic swimmer and Tarzan actor Johnny Weissmuller at the Billy Rose Aquacade in the 1940s. Included are two glossy 8x10" photos, one of Weissmuller w/comic fireman diver/performer Bill Lewin and has been inscribed in blue ink "Sincerely, Johnny Weismuller." Lewin has also signed below. Photo has some handling wear w/corner creases/foxing, but if matted, would display VF. Second photo shows image of Esther Williams, who has signed in black ink "To Corinne - The Sweetest Little Lost Lamb I Have Ever Had The Pleasure OF Knowing - Love - Esther." Photo has some handling wear w/corner creases/foxing, but if matted, would display VF. Photos comes w/"Billy Rose's Aquacade" program for the 1940 Golden Gate International Exposition which has images of Weissmuller within. Additional items include two glossy photos of performances, w/Weissmuller front and center at each. Pinholes at corners which have some scattered creasing. Fine. Last item is worn four-page program section which just comes along. Lot comes w/two typed letters from Lowe, one is notarized. A unique autograph lot for the Tarzan/movie collector. Comes with Hake's COA.
